"Hammer Punch" is a larger, handheld version of a traditional letter punch. Instead of using the punch to create an impression in a matrix for type founding as in letterpress, the Hammer Punch is designed to strike directly into any suitable material that will take an impression. The Hammer Punch set consists of 28 double-sided hammers, one for each letter of the English alphabet and two for punctuation.
